Juan Francisco Casas

Jaén, Spain, 1976.

The hyperrealistic work of Casas is based on photographic shots of the events of his day-to-day life. The artist portrays a ludic world marked by endless parties, surrounded by his friends and girlfriends, where one perceives an exaltation of hedonism and carpe diem that has influenced an entire generation of young millennials whose life is overexposed in social networks.

Juan Francisco Casas has received numerous scholarships and awards, among which the one of the Spanish School in Paris and the Scholarship of the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ABC Drawing Prize. His work is represented in the collections of ARTIUM, Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo, Vitoria, Spain; Colección ABC, Madrid; Colección del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores; Colección de la Real Academia de España en Roma as well as in numerous private collections in France, Germany, Netherlands, Great Britain, USA, Mexico, Colombia and Spain.
